Terms of use
Last updated:
An agreement between you and Line of code Institution LLC, the publisher of Nursync, written in plain clauses so you know what is yours and what is asked of you.
About these terms
Nursync is a service for planning the working hours of nursing staff, operated by Line of code Institution LLC (Ibri, Al Dhahirah, Sultanate of Oman). It includes the phone app and the nursync.net website. These terms, together with the Privacy policy, which is part of them by reference, are a binding agreement between you and the publisher that governs your use of the service.
They are the same for every user in every country; and wherever the law of your country gives you wider mandatory rights, those rights apply and nothing here reduces them. The Arabic text prevails in case of any difference from a translation.
Who can use Nursync
Nursync is a workplace tool for nursing staff employed by a hospital that uses it, and for heads of department and hospital and platform administrators. It is not directed at anyone under 16.
An account is verified before it can work: the platform administrator approves your request, or your head of department does if you are a staff nurse in their ward, and the account carries no working permissions before approval. You undertake that the information you give is accurate. If you use the service on behalf of a hospital, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it.
Your account and your responsibility for it
You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with a Google or Apple account where that is available. You are responsible for keeping your email and your device secure, and for everything done through your account. The account is personal and may not be transferred or sold. Tell us at support@nursync.net at once if you find your account has been used without your permission.
The roster is the hospital's decision
In Nursync, rosters, leave and swaps are built from rules your ward sets. The hospital is the controller of the data about your work, and Nursync processes it on the hospital's behalf. The decision about a roster, a leave or a swap belongs to the head of department and the hospital, not to the app, and the app does not replace your hospital's policies or labour law.
Nursync publishes no roster without human approval: the head of department reviews the roster and approves it before any nurse sees it. Artificial intelligence never decides who works a shift; the assistant turns the head's request into proposals that he confirms before any of them is applied, and who works which shift is decided by the scheduling engine under the ward's rules.
Notifications travel through outside services and can arrive late, so do not rely on them alone to know your shift: check the roster in the app.
No patient data
Nursync is not a medical record and keeps no information about a patient. Do not write, send or upload, in messages, attachments or leave reasons, a patient's name, number, diagnosis, picture or anything that identifies one. If you find any of it, delete it and tell your head of department or support.
Messages and files
Messages are for work communication inside the ward: any colleague in your department can message you, and you can message any colleague in it, with text, photos, video, voice notes and files. You are responsible for what you send.
You can edit or delete your message within the time limits the app shows. Deleting “for everyone” permanently erases the content of the message from our servers and it cannot be recovered; deleting “for me” hides it for you alone. A message sent to be viewed once opens once, and it cannot be edited, only deleted.
Whoever receives a photo, a video or a file can save it to their own phone, and no system can stop someone who opens a view-once message from photographing their screen. So do not send what you do not want to remain with someone else.
If a colleague troubles you, block their private messages, and report a message or a person to the platform administrator from inside the app; the administrator reviews the report and decides what is needed. Messages are hidden from everyone once the retention period your ward sets has passed, as the Privacy policy explains.
Acceptable use and ending access
You undertake to use Nursync lawfully, professionally and for your work. These are prohibited: harassment, abuse and threats; impersonating anyone; publishing content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others; spreading malware; collecting or extracting users' data, including with automated tools; sharing your colleagues' personal data for anything but work; circumventing security controls or permissions; reverse engineering; and commercial exploitation without written permission.
The publisher may, at its reasonable discretion, review any report or account, remove infringing content, restrict features, and suspend or end an account that breaches these terms or puts the service and its users at risk. The platform administrator can also return an account to unverified, move it between departments, change its role, or delete it. If you believe an action against you was a mistake, write to support@nursync.net.
Your data
The Privacy policy sets out what we collect, how we use it, who sees it and how long it stays, and it is part of these terms.
Error reports and usage statistics are switched on by default so that we can see what happens in the app and fix its faults; you can switch them off at any time in Settings, and the app shows you exactly what is collected.
You can close your account at any time from inside the app. Closing is immediate and cannot be undone, and its steps, and what is deleted and what is kept, are on the Delete your account page.
Intellectual property and your content
You keep ownership of what you write and upload, and you give the publisher a non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it inside Nursync, as far as is needed to run the service and keep it secure for you and your ward. You confirm that you hold the rights to what you send and that it does not break the law or the rights of others.
The app, with its code, design and marks, is the exclusive property of the publisher or its licensors. You are given a personal, limited, revocable licence to use it for your work, with no right to copy it, modify it or build a competing product. For notices of infringement: support@nursync.net.
Services we rely on
Some functions rely on services provided by others: signing in with Google and Apple, Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications, the email provider, hosting, and the app stores. These services are subject to their own terms, and the publisher, to the fullest extent the law allows, is not responsible for their availability or security or for any harm arising from them. Relying on an outside service is not an endorsement of it.
Availability and limits of liability
We do not guarantee that the service will run without interruption, and it may stop for maintenance. The publisher may change, suspend or discontinue any feature, and will try to give advance notice of material changes where it can.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any express or implied warranty, to the fullest extent the law allows. The publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data, and its total liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. These limits do not affect your mandatory statutory rights.
Governing law and disputes
Whatever your country, you keep the mandatory rights that the law of your country of residence gives you, and nothing here reduces them or deprives you of recourse to the competent authorities where you live. Otherwise these terms are governed by the laws of Sultanate of Oman, where the publisher is established.
Before any legal action, you agree to seek an amicable settlement by writing to us at support@nursync.net and giving us sixty days to respond. If a settlement cannot be reached, the courts of the publisher's seat in Ibri, Al Dhahirah have jurisdiction over the dispute; and if you are a consumer, you may also bring your claim before the courts of your country of residence whenever its law gives you that right.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and update the date of the last update. Continuing to use the service after it takes effect means you accept it.

The Arabic text is binding.
